Jack was born on March 14, 1954, in McLaughlin, South Dakota and graduated from McLaughlin High School in May of 1972. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Jack was a heavy equipment operator for several decades and a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49. He was passionate about the sport of boxing, dedicating 30 years to both amateur and professional bouts. His love for boxing extended beyond the ring; he traveled extensively to watch matches, supporting both amateur and professional fighters. He was an avid Vikings fan, rarely missing a game, and attended his first game in person last fall with his brother-in-law, Butch Williams. Another of Jack’s great loves was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, on which he logged over 100,000 miles, enjoying the open road and the freedom it brought.

Jack is survived by his wife, Annette Pudwill; his children, Adrian (Rosann) Pudwill, Ragan Pudwill, JT Pudwill, and Kara Pudwill; and his stepchildren Shannon (Jesse) Newcombe, Monica (James) Mora, Dana (Jesus) Cobarruvias, Kendra (Nate) Register, and Devin Kieffer. Jack is also cherished and will be lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren: Jackson, Emma, Dylon, Brynley, Watson, Tommy, Zandria, James, Borden, Ava, Aydren, Kinnedy, Rowland, Kendra, Hailey, Montanna, Kylie, Rynleigh, Breklynn, Kembrie, Te’Darrion, Tiera, Tiana, Yadhira, Cruz, Yatalia, Max, Luiz, Daniel, Aracely, Juan, Amayah, Colton, Vincent, Ivan, Skyler, Damin,  and 1 great grandchild Kainen from his blended families.

Jack’s legacy is carried on by his siblings: Mark Pudwill, Marcia Pudwill, Debbie Schiermeister, and Kit Pudwill and many nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death and has been reunited with his parents, Buckley Pudwill and Esther Lensing; stepfather, Larry Lensing; two infant children; his brother, Terry Pudwill; his late wife, Debra Pudwill; his stepdaughter, Brittany Slack; and his grandson, Jose Sanchez Negrete.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Jack be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Lung Association.

Jack will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His passion for life, love for his family, and dedication to his interests will be remembered with fondness and respect.

So sorry to hear of Jack’s passing.. hadn’t seen him in person for a while, but kept in touch on Facebook for the last few years. In fact, just talked about getting out on the bikes last week, just never worked out. Now wish I had taken the time to just do it.

Knew Jack from when he was living out on Hwy 60…

    Prayers for all of you.
