Florence E. Hewitt, age 91, of Byron died September 30, 2023 at her daughter’s residence surrounded by family.
Florence was born on September 3, 1932 in Rochester, MN to Ernest and Dorothy (Voeltz) Campbell.
Florence worked at the Blind School in Faribault, MN for several years where she taught others. She worked various other jobs over the years, but her most rewarding job was raising her children. Florence will be forever remembered for her sweet but sassy personality that everyone loved. One of her favorite pass times was watching game shows. She loved to dance and was an avid bowler in her younger years.
Florence is survived by her 3 daughters, Susan (Gaylon) Amy, Julie (Jeff) Norby, Donna Hewitt (Daniel Iverson); 1 son, Roy (Theresa) Hewitt; 8 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and 1 brother, Leonard (Kelly) Campbell.
Florence is preceded in death by 1 son, Eddie; and 3 brothers, Bill, Roger, and Kenny.
A celebration of life will be from 12 to 2pm on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester with burial following at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
