Shawn Marie Bolinger (Roeber), 64, of Rochester, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1959, in Rochester, Minnesota, and for most of her life was a resident of Rochester
Shawn was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter Jacey Roeber and her new son in law Nishant (Sasha) Salaria. She cherished her role as a mother, considering it a true blessing in her life. Shawn was very proud of immediate family, including her mother Joanne Roeber and her siblings Julie Bakken (Wutschke), Rene’ Lunde (Jeff Inglebret), Bill Roeber (Shelley Fabian), and Barry (Wendy) Roeber. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Shawns family will forever hold the memory of her Frog eye Salad!
Shawn found solace in the simple pleasures of life. She took comfort in the company of her beloved cats and adorned her world with the color purple, as it brought her immense joy. Her home was her safe haven, a place where she could retreat to and find peace. Shawn’s love for literature and intellectual stimulation led her to indulge in countless books, often losing herself in the pages as time slipped away.
Shawn graduated in 1977 from John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minnesota.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation in honor of Shawn’s life at the fellowship hall of Peace United Church of Christ, located at 1503 2nd Ave NE, Rochester, MN 55906, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1 PM to 3 PM. It will be an opportunity to share memories, offer support, and find solace in each other’s presence. Burial service will follow at Pleasant Dale Prairie Cemetery, where Shawn will be laid to rest next to her father, Ernest Roeber, who died on April 27, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to assist with the funeral expenses.
Rochester Cremation Service in Rochester, Minnesota, is entrusted with the care and arrangements for Shawn’s final journey.
Shawn’s memory will forever shine brightly in our hearts, as we remember her for her love, kindness, and gentle spirit. May she find eternal rest, and may her legacy inspire us to cherish every moment with our loved ones.

It is with a heavy heart condolences are sent to you. Your Mom and I worked together at the Marriott and I woud visit with her every time I went into HyVee West.
