David “Butch” Trumpold, 76, of Rochester passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
David was born June 16, 1946, to Henry and Elsie (Farley) in Stewartville, MN where he attended school until 1964. After school he was a semi-truck driver, carpenter, and other various jobs. He obtained his Building Utility Maintenance Degree and worked for the Kahler Hotel for 27 years until his retirement in 2011.
In 1972 Dave married Linda (Harvala). They had one son, Kelly, and later divorced.
David married Suzanne (Wilson) in 1978. They celebrated 45 years of marriage on April 1st. They had two daughters, Jennifer and Jolene.
Dave enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, NASCAR racing, and the all-important coffee club.
Dave is survived by his wife, Sue of Rochester; son, Kelly (Beth) of Park Rapids; daughters, Jennifer of Rochester, Jolene (Jorge) Dickinson of Pine Island; six grandchildren, Cody, Katelynn, Zane, Wyatt, Quintin, and Jameson; brother, Stephen (Teri) of Stewartville; sister, Mary of Austin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul.
A memorial service will be on June 16, 2023, at 12pm at Rochester Cremation Services, 1605 Civic Center Drive NW, Rochester MN. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service. Pastor Paul Bauch will be officiating. A light lunch will be serviced following the service.
